SoulMusicHQ.com is a website created for fans and students of soul music. Our intention is to supply a one-stop information service that can assist collectors, researchers, journalists, fans, CD compilers, students etc. With this aim in mind we have created a database of information from thousands of specialist magazines that will enable us to find and reproduce articles on many of the artists working in the soul genre. It is our intention to supply comprehensive research on any singer or group that you wish to know more about, in many cases with photo/graphic-scans, complete biographies with added discography, sessionography and record label listings, created specially for this site and it’s subscribers.

The services we offer includes - research and location of info, reproduction and postage to subscribers, scanning and transfer of photo and graphic images to CD or jpeg also available. Advice as to where and what music is available on given artists.

Ongoing developments
The database info and profiles will grow on a monthly basis until 100 profiles are available to view. In addition to the added profiles the review sections will also be updated monthly. ‘Earshot’ a quarterly magazine that will feature new articles plus back issues. Music, media and book reviews is in preparation at this time.

Groupography is an ongoing project listing vocal/instrumental groups, their changing memberships and connections to others. Please email any contributions typed in style of the listing with your name added for inclusion.

Future developments
For the future we plan to run a regular Quiz where winners will receive a CD or LP or rarity prize. Other ideas in development include a Soul forum and artist of the month photo gallery. We look forward to hearing any suggestions from you on how we can improve the site in the future.
